A couple of months ago we launched a new wine. So, what’s the big deal?
Well, besides the fact that it is an unusual blend of varieties; it comes from a relatively newish region; it boasts a QR code on the back label (what’s a QR code??) and was launched via a virtual interactive wine tasting, there was nothing unusual at all.
Welcome BellaRiva. These are two new wines from our King Valley vineyard (in Moyhu, near Wangaratta in N-E Victoria).
The white is a blend of Pinot Grigio and Vermentino, two Italian varieties which have got us petty excited, particularly Vermentino after Steve and my recent visit to Corsica and Sardinia. The red is a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot (think savoury, rustic and gluggable)
So what is the big deal? We are inviting you to join Steve and I for an interactive online tasting on the 25th August. All you need to do is buy a couple of bottles, grab a few mates and you can join in the fun. Online tastings are not new but doing them in this manner is a little different…..just like the wines.
How do you join in?
It is easy enough to do. Sign up to our U-Stream site, open the bottles and taste away. Starting at 7.00pm we don’t envisage it going any longer than 30 minutes, unless there are lots of questions and discussion. If you get bored, log out and enjoy the wines anyway.
We look forward to sharing a glass of wine with you
